Theatre Coppell – Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella
July 30, 31 & August 1 | Friday and Saturday 8 pm & Sunday 2:30 pm | Coppell Arts Center
Cinderella, treated like a slave by her stepmother and stepsisters, is paid a visit by her Fairy Godmother, who shows her that anything is possible. With a sweep of the Godmother’s magic wand, Cinderella is aided to go to the Prince’s ball in a gorgeous gown in a golden carriage pulled by transformed mice. When the clock strikes midnight, Cinderella’s magic is fading when she must escape the castle, leaving her glass slipper behind. In a kingdom-wide search, the Prince finally locates her and, of course, there is a happy ending. This spectacular new Broadway musical revives the popular songs “In My Own Little Corner” and “Impossible,” plus a host of other fabled tunes.
