Officials have announced that the federal government will expand Covid-19 vaccination efforts in North Texas by helping to run the site at Fair Park and opening a new site at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. It was also announced that a third, federally run vaccination site will open at NGR Stadium in Houston. The sites will be operated by FEMA in partnership with the state of Texas through the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) and local officials.
The new sites are expected to be open beginning February 24. Once the new sites are fully operational, federal officials expect that the three sites combined will administer approximately 10,000 vaccine doses daily.
