The DART project involving setting bridge beams over S Belt Line Road this weekend has been postponed due to forecasted weather. More information about a new date for the project will be shared when it is available.
When the project resumes, S Belt Line Road, south of the intersection of Southwestern Boulevard and Denton Tap Road, will be closed for one night from 9 pm to 5 am. Traffic will be detoured through Sanders Loop.
DART crews will continue to set bridge beams in the area for a few days after the initial closure. No road closures are expected during that time, but flaggers will be present to allow trucks to enter and exit the work area. Commuters should expect reduced traffic speeds and an increase in construction noise in the area.
