About: Does your child constantly tell you that he/she wants to be a firefighter when they grow up? Then this class is the perfect way to introduce them to what it takes to be a firefighter. Students will learn how to be ambassadors of fire safety by learning about the tools of prevention - smoke alarms, home escape plans, and fire extinguishers. That knowledge will then be put to the test in our Safety House. Once they've successfully mastered their fire safety skills, students will head to our Safety Town Fire Station to visit with a firefighter and learn about firefighting equipment.

Requirements: Children enrolled in this class should be in 2nd-3rd Grade ONLY. Younger/older siblings are allowed to attend, provided they remain attentive and do not disrupt the learning environment for other students.

• A parent is encouraged but not required to stay with their child(ren) for this class.
