Facilitated Education Programs
The BEC offers a variety of facilitated group activities that help learners connect with nature. Choose from a suite of lessons, hikes and games to create a customized educational experience. Most activities are about 30 minutes in duration and accommodate a group of about 20 students. Activities can be used individually or in combination to accommodate learning goals, larger group sizes, or longer duration of time. Activities are facilitated by BEC staff or trained volunteers, and a minimum number of adult chaperones from the visiting organization is required.

LESSONS, GAMES, HIKES
To customize your experience, or for groups more than 60, email bec@coppelltx.gov or call 972-304-3581.

*Please note payment must be received within 2 weeks of the program request receipt or at least 4 weeks prior to the request program date, whichever is sooner. Science and Safety Field Trips*
Life Safety Park (LSP) and Biodiversity Education Center (BEC) at the Coppell Nature Park (CNP) are proud to again offer free joint field trip opportunities for larger groups (up to 120 students) within Coppell ISD! While one group of up to 60 students visits LSP for a two hour session, another group of 60 students will participate in BEC programming at the same time. After a break for lunch, groups will then 'switch' facilities for the afternoon session. Please note that these are two separate facilities: transportation will be required between sites. Starting in 2020, non-CISD groups are welcomed to sign up for joint trips for a small fee and pending availability.
What to Expect
Your visit to LSP will include an educational safety lesson, with topic determined by grade level, as well as hands-on time relevant to the safety topic. Your visit to CNP will include a naturalist education program, hike, and game of your choice. More class details can be found by visiting the online registration page.
