Nevels graduated from the University of North Texas with a BA in Radio, Television, and Film. Nevels and his wife Amanda, opened Coppell Taekwondo Academy (now Championship Martial Arts – Coppell) in May of 2010. For over a decade, Nevels has worked hard to instill leadership and positive character traits into the young people who train at his facility.
Kevin first got involved with the Coppell Chamber of Commerce when his business joined in 2010. Nevels later joined the Board of Directors of the Chamber in 2014 and later served as Chairman of the Board in 2020. Nevels is a graduate of Leadership Coppell and CISD’s iLead program. He has also participated in the Living Well in Coppell committee and served on the Coppell Vision 2040 Executive Committee. Nevels is currently helping develop an official Alumni Association for CISD.
As previously mentioned, Nevels met and began dating his future wife at Coppell High School in 2001. They have 2 amazing children, Claire and Lucas, who both attend CISD schools. Nevels is a servant leader at heart and is incredibly excited about serving his first term on the Coppell City Council Place 4. Through his nearly decade of service, Nevels has been motivated my one unifying purpose, to make Coppell a better community through leadership and service.
I am so thrilled to serve on the Coppell City Council. I appreciate the support I have received from thousands of families throughout the community. I am honored to represent you and I promise to always serve with dignity and integrity. Thank you for giving me your trust to serve. Lastly, I’d like to specifically thank two amazing people, my wife Amanda and my mom Shari. Without you two, none of this would be possible. Thank you and I love you!
