About the Commission

The Planning and Zoning Commission's responsibility is to make recommendations to the City Council regarding land use issues, including:

• Amendments to and updates of the Comprehensive Master Plan
• Changes to the Zoning Ordinance
• Subdivision plats
• Zoning requests
• Other items included in the physical development of Coppell

They are the Site Plan approval authority and have been granted the right to approve Final Plats in some instances.
