The City of Coppell is dedicated to transforming our local community through acts of service and opportunities to build relationships with our neighbors. Neighbors Helping Neighbors, a one day service project, seeks to connect volunteers with Coppell residents who need assistance with home maintenance and repairs. Together we can build a stronger and more resilient community.
The first annual Coppell Connected: Neighbors Helping Neighbors event took place on April 23rd, 2022. Over 120 volunteers completed projects at 34 homes in Coppell. Projects included fence repair work, yard work, cleaning gutters, washing windows, and even installing a patio light fixture. Thank you to our sponsors, Southwest Wholesale Nurseries and Broker's Quality Grass, for donating a generous amount of tools and supplies needed to complete each project.
Resident Testimonials
“Many, many thanks to those that volunteered to help folks in need in our community. It means the world to me to have been a recipient and have much needed yard work done.”
“Our Neighbors performed with enthusiasm and joy. They found new projects and completed so many more favors. Anu was a power washing master. I am so sorry I missed a shot of Holly. She was awesome! Thanks again to everybody. I hope I get the same individuals next time. BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS!”
“The gentleman who were here today were so hard working! Smiling the whole time. They cleaned gutters, washed windows, cleared the bush stumps and trimmed bushes!!! I am so grateful for their help with chores I am no longer able to do. Thank you for taking such good care of me.”
“I wanted to let you know how appreciative and blessed I feel having the wonderful help yesterday!! The men did a fantastic job on the tree in my front yard. And I couldn't be happier with the results. It looks wonderful!! Thank you again for being a recipient of this wonderful outreach program! Thank you so much!!!”
