Coppell To Host Independence Celebration Activities
The City of Coppell will once again host Independence Day activities beginning Tuesday, July 3 with a concert and fireworks and wrapping up on Wednesday, July 4 with the annual Patriotic Parade.
Concert and Fireworks / Tuesday, July 3
Tuesday July 3, from 7 to 10 p.m., at Andy Brown Park East, 260 Parkway Blvd., enjoy the sounds of Motion. This Dallas-based party band knows what you like and will perform it flawlessly! Dance the night away with Motion beginning at 7 p.m. Enjoy a spectacular fireworks display beginning at 9:40 p.m. Bring your picnic baskets or buy food at the event.
Admission is FREE. No alcoholic beverages are allowed in any city park.
Parking - Space is limited in Andy Brown Park, so you may want to consider parking at the William T. Cozby Public Library, 177 N. Heartz, or Town Center, 255 Parkway, both just a short walk away from the park.
MOORE ROAD PARK CLOSURE
The Coppell Parks and Recreation Department will temporarily close Moore Road Park all day on Tuesday, July 3 to ALL vehicular and pedestrian traffic to secure a fallout area for the fireworks show.
Patriotic Parade / Wednesday July 4
Coppell’s annual Patriotic Parade will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 4. The parade route begins at Samuel and Parkway Blvd., proceeds west on Parkway Blvd., ending behind Town Center.
PARADE ROUTE CLOSURE
Intersections along the parade route will be closed prior to the parade moving through and reopened once all entries have passed. Commuters should seek alternate routes during this time period.
