COMMERCIAL BUILDING INSPECTOR
BUILDING INSPECTIONS DEPARTMENT
The successful applicant is preferred to have combination inspector certifications by ICC in both Residential and Commercial disciplines. Preferred applicant will have both practical construction knowledge and inspection experience. Must be willing to work in a fast paced environment and must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, general public, and contractors. Under the general supervision of the Building Official, the purpose of this classification is to perform a variety of technical building inspection, plan review, code enforcement and to investigate complaints. We are seeking a qualified multiple disciplined plan reviewer/inspector who can perform commercial and residential plan reviews and inspections. Multiple disciplines include; building, mechanical, electrical and energy. A minimum of 5 years of construction experience in which 2 years of municipal experience, TSBPE license, Managing project experience, a High School Diploma are required. ICC certifications for each discipline,TDLR license, and an Associate’s degree are preferred. Attendance at meetings with developers, municipal officials, construction trade representatives and the like is a must. A valid Texas driver’s license and a good driving record are required.
Starting Salary: $48,068.80 with an excellent benefits package.

ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES MANAGER
ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
Minimum qualifications include exceptional administrative and organizational skills in office management, purchasing, budget preparation and monitoring, records management, and project planning, implementation, and tracking. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred plus five years of administrative experience, including two years in a leadership role. Must have professional demeanor and appearance and be able to maintain a positive rapport with citizens, city employees, and officials, and be team and goal oriented. Must be able to produce and originate professional correspondence, respond in a timely manner, and be able to function and resolve problematic issues with minimal supervision. Good range of computer skills, including time and attendance. Must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines. Dependability and punctuality required. Knowledge of municipal government operations preferred.
Starting salary $55,619.20 with excellent benefits package.

FITNESS CENTER ATTENDANT
AQUATICS AND RECREATION CENTER
The City of Coppell is now accepting applications for the position of Fitness Center Attendant. Minimum qualifications include basic computer skills, health and fitness background, safety conscious and detail oriented. Must have professional appearance and excellent customer service skills. Fitness certifications or related degree preferred. Responsibilities include greeting clientele, Fitlinxx administration, overseeing weight room operations and equipment (Cardio Theatre, Precor cardiovascular, Cybex cardiovascular and strength and free weights) and maintain a comfortable and clean environment.
Starting Salary: $9.66 per hour

SEASONAL TENNIS INSTRUCTOR
WAGON WHEEL TENNIS CENTER
The City of Coppell is accepting applications for a Seasonal Tennis Instructor. The city is seeking a dynamic, high energy, and creative professional who will assist in the development of the tennis center’s growing junior & adult programs. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, USPTA or PTR certified, and 2 to 3 years teaching experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong tennis playing background, a passion for teaching tennis to adults as well as children, a high level of knowledge regarding USTA programs including 10 Under tennis, and be interested in teaching both private and semi-private lessons. Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with public in positive and courteous manner is a must. Applicants must be safety-conscious and willing to follow rules and direction of supervisors. Employee benefits are available with this position. The pay scale for group lessons is listed below. Candidates must be drug free and have clean criminal history.
Pay Scale with benefits:
Group Lessons: $18.00 per hour
Private Lessons: $30.00 per hour
Semi-Private Lessons $40.00 per hour
Non-Teaching Duties: $10.00 per hour

The City of Coppell is now accepting applications for Customer Service Attendant with the Parks department. Attendants will be stationed in either the Senior & Community Center or the Aquatic & Recreation Center. Minimum qualifications include excellent customer service and telephone skills; including prior cash handling and reconciliation, and computer skills. Ability to deal with general public including children and teens, in a positive and courteous manner is essential. Must be safety conscious and willing to follow policy and respect the direction of supervisors. A professional appearance is required (no visible tattoos or abstract body piercing), good character, dependability and patience. (Must be drug-free and clean criminal history) May include some weekends and/or nights. High School diploma or equivalent required.
Starting Salary: $9.89 per hour

SWIM INSTRUCTORS
PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT
The City of Coppell is now accepting applications for seasonal Swim Instructors at the Coppell Aquatic and Recreation Center. Applicants must be 16 years or older.
Minimum qualifications: Must be an efficient swimmer. Must be able to successfully complete the requirements for a Jeff Ellis Swimming Swim Instructor License by date of employment. This training will be held on site for a standard fee. Training fees will be refunded to employees who complete the season.
Must have a professional appearance (no visible tattoos or abstract body piercing), good character and dependability. Must be drug-free and have a clean criminal history. Must have good communication skills and ability to deal with the general public in a positive and courteous manner. Must be safety conscious and willing to follow rules and direction of supervisors.
Starting Salary: $12.00 per hour.
